About Dr. Ware.
I am Dr. Alexis Ware, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals rediscover their strength, resilience, and capacity for healing. With extensive experience supporting clients through life after recovery, I view every person who walks through my door as a unique individual capable of meaningful growth and lasting change.
My counseling style is rooted in a client-centered approach, creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I specialize in working with individuals recovering from substance use disorders, as well as family members impacted by addiction. I also provide support for women navigating challenges related to co-dependency, depression, trauma, and abuse.
Drawing from Solution-Focused techniques, I work collaboratively with clients to challenge negative thinking patterns, explore self-destructive behaviors, and build confidence in their ability to move forward. My goal is to help clients believe in themselves again and step into a life aligned with their values and strengths.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2010) and Master of Social Work (2013) from Kennesaw State University. I later completed my Ph.D. in Social Work with a specialization in addictions, deepening my commitment to serving individuals and communities affected by substance use.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: we all have the power to take control of our lives and access peace of mind. My role is to walk alongside you—holding each client in unconditional positive regard—as you reclaim your story and embrace the person you are becoming.
